As a fitness instructor, I consume three items every day.

She adores these basic foods. The three food categories that Jenna Rizzo, a weight loss consultant for women, constantly keeps on hand at her Georgian home are fruits, fermented foods, and batch-cooked proteins.

"I like to eat, so having these foods on deck keeps me satiated throughout the day, and [they are] also keeping me in pretty good shape," Rizzo said in a TikTok from March that has received over 14,000 views.  

Proteins like steak, shrimp, and chicken thighs, which she cooks in big quantities every few days, are the mainstays of her diet. 

At 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight, or 0.36 grams per pound, protein is the Recommended Dietary Allowance. That equals 54 grams of protein a day for a 150-pound individual. 

"I can simply mix and match meals with whatever I have in my pantry or fridge, whether it be rice, pasta, or salad stuff," the woman said.   

Next are fermented foods, which include things like kimchi, kombucha, yogurt, and sauerkraut. These meals frequently contain probiotics, which have been demonstrated to strengthen the immune system, support gut health, and facilitate digestion.

"Any kind of green drink will never help with bloating as much as fermented foods will," asserted Rizzo. "Probiotics are an incredible asset to the body, supporting nearly every bodily function, but especially our hormones and digestive systems."

Rizzo also maintains "stacks of fruit on deck," which include bananas, apples, mangoes, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries.Consuming 4½ cups of fruit daily is advised by the American Heart Association.  

"This is the sweetest thing in nature, and I have to admit that because I work from home, I occasionally indulge in mindless snacking," Rizzo said.
