Memphis Grizzlies Make Major Move

The Memphis Grizzlies have high hopes for the next season after a season marred by injuries this past year. These assumptions bring about a few significant modifications.

The Athletic's Kelly Iko reports that the Memphis Grizzlies have fired a number of assistant coaches recently.

The head coach of the Grizzlies will reorganize some of his staff in preparation for the 2024–25 NBA season.

The Memphis Grizzlies might be a very strong club in the upcoming year. Marcus Smart, Jaren Jackson Jr., Vince Williams Jr., Desmond Bane, and Ja Morant might be in their starting lineup.

Derrick Rose, Luke Kennard, GG Jackson, Santi Aldama, and Brandon Clarke might also be in their starting lineup. In 2024–2025, that starting and reserve lineup might rank among the league's deepest.

One bright spot in the injury-plagued 2023–24 NBA season is that it gave younger players like GG Jackson the opportunity to mature into respectable rotation players.

Even though there's no assurance that the Memphis Grizzlies will be healthy come playoff time, the club appears to be resilient enough to weather any storm

that is, if Ja Morant doesn't miss any more games. It makes natural that the Grizzlies would want to reorganize the coaching staff given their potential to finish as one of the top three seeds.

To fulfill their dreams, maybe the team can maintain its health.

The Grizzlies have some big changes next season.

With the capability to actually be a top-3 seed, it makes sense that the Grizzlies would want to restructure the coaching staff.
