The WNBA regular season debut of Caitlin Clark is sure to be an exciting event, but tickets to Tuesday's game have grown far more expensive.

On Monday, the Connecticut Sun reported that 8,910 tickets had been sold for their home opener versus the Indiana Fever and Clark.

The Sun said that since their 2003 debut in Connecticut, this was the first home opener to sell out.

Former University of Iowa sensation and current No. 1 WNBA draft pick Clark is starting to become used to this kind of attention.

Her debut home game, a preseason match against the Atlanta Dream, drew 13,000 spectators on Thursday,

Some of Clark's opponents have moved games to bigger arenas to accommodate ticket sales in response to the public's interest in the player.

The Fever, who haven't made the playoffs since 2016, will now have 36 of their 40 regular-season games televised nationally, including Tuesday's game (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN 2).
